Monkey Puzzle Bromley values the importance of parent feedback. We embrace what our families have to say and use this to constantly improve the care we provide and make our offering even better.

We also aim to create a community. Here are some key aspects of how we promote partnership with our parents:

Stay and play sessions: This gives parents a glimpse into their child’s daily life at the nursery and helps them understand our educational approach.

Settling in sessions: provide opportunities for parents to connect with the team and this child’s key person, learn about how their child’s development will be supported at nursery, and contribute to their learning journey, creating a supportive environment where every parent feels included and valued within the nursery setting.

Parents evenings: parents can chat with their child’s key worker to review their development and plan their child’s next steps together jointly, ensuring parents feel included and valued in their child’s learning journey.

Parent social events: parents join us for our Summer BBQ and Christmas party as we join together and appreciate these social occasions to be together.

From our most recent parents survey we were inundated with parental engagement which was great to see. We really value your feedback, comments and support!

We created a ‘You Said, We Did’ newsletter which we have shared but here are the highlights:

  • We have created a plan for some more parental engagement sessions in the nursery for each of our children’s rooms to promote parents to feel included in their child’s learning and development.
  • We adapted our menus to make them more culturally diverse and added more fruit/yogurt based desserts with natural sugars used
  • We have provided a Parent Information board at the front of the nursery to relay and provide parents with upcoming dates and menus
  • The frequency of outings has been increased to support the children’s cultural capital and awareness of the local community.

I wanted to do a huge shout out and heartfelt thanks to the Bromley MP. My daughter started at 16 months in the Discoverers room. She recently left there to move to the investigators room. The management team are very supportive especially Kristina and Stacy. But I need to say that Paris Lee is standout, top talent. Paris and her team cared for my daughter so well and we always knew she was in safe hands with her team. Paris created a happy environment for her team and the toddlers. She and her fabulous team helped Sofia transition out of nappies and out of her naps. I just wanted her to be recognised for her amazing work. She is one in a million.
