It has been widely reported these are extremely challenging times for nursery providers as the rising cost of living hits the Early Years sector hard.

Along with ongoing recruitment challenges in the industry many nurseries have struggled. Monkey Puzzle day nursery in Bromley are an exception to the norm though, with the nursery thriving and providing stability and consistency of care for their families.

Staffing Successes

The sector wide recruitment issues continue to challenge early years providers but the nursery has made a commitment to their team to ensure that not only do they ensure the staffing ratios to meet the legal requirements there has been an additional recruitment campaign to ensure that further high quality and experienced team members are recruited. Although this comes at a huge financial cost to the nursery, their senior team’s passion and drive to provide loving, caring and nurturing relationships to the children coupled with stability and consistency for parents will always come first.

Christmas celebrations!

Monkey Puzzle have also been “the talk of the town” for families recently having held their annual Christmas party for their children and families. The nursery prides itself on their links with the local community and wants to ensure that this is a special space and time to spend together within the wonderful nursery community they have created.

And it doesn’t stop there!

Not only do the nursery focus on supporting their team with well-being programmes and regular rewards to appreciate their individual team members they also celebrate team efforts in providing quality learning experiences for the children, creating some wonderful relationships with their families. This all culminates in their annual Employee of the year award ceremony with the winner having recently walked away with £1200 towards an All-Inclusive holiday for 2 and a total of £2000 give away by the nursery!

Celebrating their team

The owner of the nursery, franchisee Mr Arlind Marku, recently made the decision to recognise and reward the nursery team with an extremely significant salary increase as well as taking the unprecedented step of ensuring that the increase would be brought forward by two months from their normal salary
review in January. “We wanted to ensure that we are supporting our team through this difficult time and recognising their amazing effort and dedication towards providing the very best care and education to our children and families. I am extremely proud of the whole team with all our successes over the last year and we can all look forward to a very exciting 2023!”
